I specialise in helping you to prepare for pregnancy, be it through natural conception or assisted reproduction. My two decades of experience working with doctors, gynaecologists, urologists, midwives and IVF specialists has given me a unique insight into the process of fertility treatment, and an understanding and empathy of how being unable to conceive affects the whole of your life.
The food we eat feeds all of our cells, and our reproductive cells need specific nutrients to work properly, and oocytes and sperm are no different from heart or liver, or skin cells. In fact, they are probably the most important, carrying the precious DNA of your future child.
From historical evidence and epidemiological studies to animal research and observational studies right through to specific nutrient
research the evidence is there; you can improve your fertility through diet and nutrition. Poor sperm quality, obesity, conditions like PCOS and endometriosis, and being underweight, as well as just being a little older as a woman can all be profoundly improved through good, evidence-based nutrition. I think of this as a ‘project’ – usually three months will do it. And then I look after you nutritionally throughout pregnancy and beyond.
In 2020, due to increasing demand, I started working with an Associate Nutritional Therapist, Anna Firth (BSc (Hons), MBANT, CNHC) - you can read more about her here.
Although we are based in London, we also consult with people all over the world using Zoom.
